Catawampus

Nicole and I live about a mile from the L.A. Arboretum and manage to visit regularly. The Arboretum currently features an art installation made of saplings called Catawampus. The tram driver said it'll be there for about two years. I think it looks like a living space built by a space alien culture that doesn’t make sense to normal humans. Sort of like the derelict space ship in the movie “Alien”. It has different chambers that you can walk into. You can read about it here:

I looked for some definitions of the word Catawampus online. The MSN Encarta definition of Catawampus says that it means “in a diagonal position or arrangement.”
The Urban Dictionary said that Catawampus is, “a verb used to describe someone who walks strangely.”
Then there was the Urban Dictionary’s definition of “Catawumpus”: “When something is all off balance or disheveled to the degree that you can see how its supposed to be and yet its clear that some rough-housing or real messin/cuttin up has made it nearly unworthy of bothering with to get it back that way due to the humor of the present state.”

There was also a sky writer making designs overhead.
